Green Hydrogen Europe
Join us for our review of the event Sustainable Energy Europe. Organized the Sustainable Energy Council based in London this European event highlights the Green Hydrogen energy roadmap of Europe. Keynote speaker the Honorable Joao Pedro Matos Fernandes, the Minister of Environment and Climate Action for Portugal, gave a passionate and intellectual appeal to increase the use of Green Hydrogen to achieve a real world peace and stabilization of our climate by replacing fossil fuels. Many ministers from around the world representing climate and energy action all converged in pointing out Green Hydrogen as a real way to power cars, trucks, heavy trucks, buses, trains and jets using locally produced clean fuel. France, Denmark, Greece and Poland ministers focused on transitioning their transportation sectors to be fueled by renewable energy producing clean hydrogen from water. Poland's discussion of their emerging fuel cell bus manufacturing sector describes the job creation this Green Hydrogen transition would stimulate across all economic sectors.
IPCC Report: Code Red
The Intergovernmental Panel of Climate Change held their COP 26 conference in Glasgow, Scotland with a Code Red report. Our world, based on fossil fuels, is causing not only toxic buildup in the air, water, soils and biology of earth, our mechanical climate cycles are being disrupted. We explore this report which concludes if humankind does not lower Carbon emissions by half over the next 8 years - we may not be able to stop a run away earth. Fossil fuels emit Carbon Dioxide, and Methane as Green House Gases, but also Sulfur compounds (SOx), Nitrogen oxides (NOx) but also a large host of Partially consumed hydrocarbons (PCH), Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC), Mercury, radiation and other chemical toxins which are saturating our world. The IPCC reports our use of fossil fuels will render the earth unlivable if not drastically abated.
Northwest UAV pioneers next generation of Green Hydrogen Drones
The nation's largest Drone propulsion design and manufacturer is Northwest UAV located in McMinnville, Oregon. Deep in Oregon wine country Northwest UAV has added hydrogen fuel cells to their propulsion repretuar. Installing Oregon's first commercial "electrolyzer" the device which produces hydrogen from water and electricity will be used to fuel up Drones powered with hydrogen fuel cells.
Interview: Jeff Ratcliffe
Join us for a master class in aviation with Jeff Ratcliffe, Chief Technology Officer for Northwest UAV. Pioneering the development of fuel cell powertrains for drones, Jeff Ratcliffe describes the design characteristics of flying drones and how important "power density" and "energy density" is for powering aircraft.
Green Hydrogen Cement
One of the four pillars of civilization (steel, cement, ammonia, and plastics) Cement is a big deal. Since World War II the production of cement has skyrocketed around the globe as countries push to expand their economies. Used as a building material cement is a major consumer of fossil fuels, and therefore a major polluter. Essentially burning rocks in massive hot kilns, the production of cement requires copious amounts of fossil fuels to burn creating the heat for baking rocks at high temperatures. A replacement, Green Hydrogen, would allow cement producers to produce clean hydrogen onsite to their facility and burn hydrogen instead of carbon to produce the high temperatures required. Green Hydrogen cement production can replace old dirty fossil fuel kilns with clean hydrogen burning kilns for stabilized fuel costs for producers without the enormous emission of pollution for the rest of us.
Green Hydrogen Hawaii - it's the law since 1991
Under Hawaiian law 196-19 revised statue directs the state of Hawaii to develop renewable hydrogen (specifically) to provide a sustainable energy base for the citizens and industries of Hawaii. Beginning in 1991 with the Matsunaga act of Congress clean hydrogen technology was identified 30 years ago as Hawaii's energy future. Join us as we explore the details of Hawaii's energy statues and how they are being followed, or somewhat ignored, as Hawaii moves toward their goal of becoming clean energy based by 2045. Does Hawaii have that much time?

About Green Hydrogen Today

The world economy has been powered by fossil fuels for three centuries.  The Green Hydrogen Economy challenges this paradigm by transitioning to clean fuels made from renewable energy and water.

Green Hydrogen Today Magazine covers all sectors of the economy in the transition from fossil fuels to clean fuels.  Green Hydrogen provids a local solution which an be employed on a global scale.  The economies are making a transition from "commodity" based energy to an energy independent model from local to national scale.

The "missing link" to a renewable energy world has been energy storage.  Green Hydrogen solves this essential problem by providing nature's battery:  hydrogen itself.

Fossil fuels have been the traditional power supply for the world's economy costing over $6 trillion dollars each year in fuel costs.  Green Hydrogen provides a means of storing renewable energy such as Solar and Wind into a form which is safe, potent, storable for long term use, and 100% non-toxic when used.

Global issues such as Green House Gases and toxic by-products of a fossil fuel world can be replaced with a clean Green Hydrogen technology using Electrolyzers, and Fuel cells, to provide a water based energy cycle compatible with all biology on earth.
